From expansive parks to picturesque beaches, the North Tahoe Public Utility District offers several other venues for your special event.

North Tahoe Regional Park

The North Tahoe Regional Park, maintained and managed by the North Tahoe Public Utility District, is located one mile west of Highway 267 and one mile north of Highway 28 in Tahoe Vista. The park offers a covered picnic Ramada that seats 100 and provides excellent views of the lake. It's the perfect location for a post-wedding brunch or a special picnic outside of the conference room. There are also a number of picnic sites tucked away under the canopy of mature conifers.

The park encompasses 124 acres of recreational activity possibilities. Surrounding the park on three sides are accessible public lands, offering users a more passive recreational experience. Found within the Regional Park are five night-lighted tennis courts, several athletic fields, basketball, handball and sand volleyball courts. Hiking trails wind throughout the Regional Park and include and 18 station fitness par course and a self-guided nature trail and a paved bike path for access to National Forest land or Highway 267. All of these trails meander through pine and fir forests with trailheads situated on the Regional Park’s main road.

There is a parking fee of $3.00 for non-NTPUD residents. NTPUD Residents pay an annual assessment on their property taxes which supports the maintenance and operation of the Park.

North Tahoe Beaches

The North Tahoe Public Utility District maintains and manages local beaches that are either owned by the District or other state agencies. These local, public beaches include Kings Beach State Recreation Area, Tahoe Vista Recreation Area and Boat Launch, Carnelian Beach, Patton Beach, Sandy Beach, Secline Beach, Moon Dunes Beach, North Tahoe Beach, Coon Street Boat Launch and Speedboat Beach.

While there are no charges to use any of the beaches that are owned or managed by the District, parking fees do apply at the Kings Beach State Recreation Area and Tahoe Vista Recreation Area.
